Keynote Speaker: Tessa Jolls, Education Summit on Media and Technology Learning
Inspiring media literacy education is Tessa Jolls’ mission and passion. As President and CEO of the Center for Media Literacy and Founder of the Consortium for Media Literacy in Los Angeles, Tessa is the 2015 winner of the Global Media Literacy Award, given by UNESCO-initiated Global Alliance for Partnerships on Media and Information Literacy (GAPMIL), in cooperation with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC). She is the co-creator and publisher of the CML MediaLit Kit, a research-based collection of resources for media literacy education featuring the Questions/TIPS (Q/TIPS) framework. She is a frequent speaker and writer on media literacy topics; her work has been translated into many languages and is the base for major media literacy implementation programs.
