Brookline Interactive Group (BIG) is hosting an Open House event on March 7th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at their facility, welcoming everyone from the Brookline community and beyond to come learn about the organization and what membership entails. Throughout the evening, BIG will host tours of their space, offer virtual reality demos, screen members’ projects, provide matchmaking help for finding crew and volunteers, serve snacks, and more!

BIG staff will be available to answer questions about BIG’s policies, creating a television show, filmmaking projects, and class offerings, yet this event is also a great opportunity for attendees to network with one another, share their ideas, and potentially find people to collaborate with on a media project.

This event is free and open to everyone in the Brookline area and beyond, regardless of whether they are an active member or have never previously been to BIG.

“Over the past few years we have offered lots of new events, projects, classes, and equipment, and have also updated some of our policies and practices, but our core goals to provide media education and technology resources for the community and empower people to learn new media skills and tell their stories have remained the same,” says Erin Kinney, Manager of Engagement and Education. “At this event, we’re excited to share all we have to offer and how we can help people realize their creative goals and dreams with media. We hope you can make it!”

The Open House will be held at Brookline Interactive Group, located on the 3rd floor of the Unified Arts Building at 46 Tappan Street, Brookline, MA. To RSVP for the Open House, please visit www.brooklineinteravtive.org, but this is not required to attend. For questions please contact Erin Kinney at erin@brooklineinteractive.org.
