Crowdsourced Boston – Recreate a Scene from Cast AWAY!

Are you looking for a fun and easy activity to do with friends and family? Look no further! Brookline Interactive Group (BIG) is thrilled to announce that their community filmmaking project, Crowdsourced Boston, has chosen to remake the film, Castaway.

Crowdsourced Boston is a community arts project in which several local public access media centers and teams from the greater Boston area collaboratively create an original, full-length crowdsourced film. BIG welcomes the entire Brookline community and surrounding communities to contribute. Everyone is encouraged to get as creative as they can with the scenes, with some even shooting scenes over Zoom with friends to practice social distancing!

To participate, sign up with a team or as an individual and register for a specific scene here. Scenes and music are due October 15th, so there is still plenty of time to participate in this fun project!

During normal times, Crowdsourced Boston is screened in person at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline. While we hope that will occur, we’ll keep you updated if a public gathering will permitted this year due to evolving conditions of Covid-19. If required, we’ll premiere the film online or an outdoor location at a date TBD in the late fall.
