Brookline Library’s Automated Materials Handling System Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Automated Materials Handling System took place on August 23rd 2024 at the Brookline Village Public Library. It’s a super cool machine that sorts books and media items based on RFID tags and slots them correctly into carts and bins based on their type. This allows the library to more efficiently check-in and shelve materials so that their patrons receive better service and their staff members have more time to focus on completing other priority tasks, directly serving patrons, and providing excellent programming.
Welcome to the new and improved Margaret E. Robinson Playground!
