Chris Chanyasulkit, PhD, MPH, a member of the Steering Committee of the Brookline Asian American Family Network and an all-around very active member of the Brookline Community, speaks with Brookline Rotary about what we can do to help stem the tide of discrimination, violence, and racism against Asian Americans. Asians are the largest minority group living in Brookline, and yet they have very little voice in local politics. The Brookline Asian American Family Network is working to bring issues to Town Meeting and to the School Board to improve conditions for Asian American citizens and their children. How can others help? Strongly recommended is that we all take the free online courses in Bystander Training offered by Hollaback, a nonprofit working to end harassment in all its forms.
